🧪 Project Details

• Project Title: Quantifying Microplastic Contamination in Inland Wetland Ecosystems: Spatial, Temporal and Trophic Distribution
• Principal Investigator: Dr. Goldin Quadros

💰 Salary Details

• ₹42,000 + HRA (For CSIR-UGC NET / GATE qualified candidates)
• ₹33,000 + HRA (For Non-NET/GATE candidates)

🎓 Essential Qualifications

Postgraduate Degree (Minimum 55% marks) in:

• Zoology
• Wildlife Biology / Wildlife Science
• Conservation Biology / Biodiversity Studies
• Forestry
• Ecological Sciences / Environmental Studies
• Or related disciplines

✔ Plus: Minimum 2 years post-PG research experience.

⭐ Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of microplastic contamination studies
• Experience in aquatic biodiversity identification
• Skills in microplastic sampling & processing
• Familiarity with GIS tools & data analysis
• Research publication record
• Proficiency in Tamil (written & spoken)

🎯 Job Responsibilities

Selected candidate will:

• Conduct wetland surveys across Tamil Nadu.
• Collect and analyze microplastic & biodiversity samples.
• Conduct social perception surveys on plastics.
• Coordinate with the Forest Department & local communities.
• Assist Project Investigators in research activities.

• Maximum: 35 years
• Age relaxation as per Govt. of India norms:
  • 5 years for SC/ST
  • 3 years for OBC
