The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal has released a notification for the recruitment of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Biological Sciences.

Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification:
- Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Biotechnology / Healthcare Sciences or related fields from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification / Exams:
Candidates should ideally have qualified any one of the following:
- CSIR-NET / UGC-NET / GATE
- National level examinations conducted by ICMR, DBT, DRDO, ICAR, or equivalent institutes.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of molecular virology.
- Experience in molecular cloning, viral assays, and serology.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as Western Blot and RT-PCR.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work in a BSL-2 laboratory facility and perform research related to viral infection and host factor identification under the supervision of Dr. Debasis Nayak (Associate Professor). Main responsibilities include:
- Conducting laboratory experiments and CRISPR screening studies.
- Data collection, analysis, and maintaining precise research records.
- Reporting results directly to the Principal Investigator.

⏳ Age Limit

📅 Project Duration
Initial appointment is for 1 year. May be extended up to 6 months based on performance and funding.
