ICAR-NBPGR Recruitment 2026: Online Interview for Young Professional I & II Posts
ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), Pusa Campus, New Delhi, has invited applications to attend an online interview (via video conferencing) for contractual positions under a research project related to wheat genomics and artificial intelligence.

- Project Title: Harnessing AI for Precision Genomic Selection Models in Wheat
- Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Jyoti Kumari, Principal Scientist, Division of Germplasm Evaluation, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi

- Nature of Position: Temporary and co-terminus with the project
📌 Available Positions
1. Young Professional – I
- Number of Posts: 01
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹30,000 (Fixed)
- Duration: One year (extendable by one more year based on satisfactory performance)
- Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Biotechnology / Life Sciences or related discipline.
- Desirable Qualification: Master’s degree in Plant Breeding / Genetics / Biotechnology / Physiology. Experience in field crop phenotyping, data recording, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Age Limit: 21 to 45 years (Age relaxation applicable as per Govt. rules)
2. Young Professional – II
- Number of Posts: 01
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹42,000 (Fixed)
- Duration: One year (extendable by one more year based on satisfactory performance)
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Agriculture / Genetics / Plant Breeding / Genetics & Plant Breeding / Biotechnology / Life Sciences OR a Professional Graduate degree of 4 years duration in Agricultural Sciences / Biotechnology / other relevant Life Science fields.
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in phenotyping for abiotic stress tolerance, development of crosses, data analysis, basic molecular biology techniques (DNA extraction, PCR, etc.), and published papers.
- Age Limit: 21 to 45 years (Age relaxation applicable as per Govt. rules)
