ICAR PG Entrance Exam
The premier national-level test for securing postgraduate admission and lucrative scholarships in Agriculture, Veterinary, and Life Sciences across India.
Purpose & Authority
Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for:
- Admission to M.Sc, M.Tech, and M.V.Sc programs in Agricultural Universities.
- Awarding ICAR PG Scholarships and National Talent Scholarships (NTS).
- Promoting high-quality research and innovation in agriculture and allied fields.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following academic standards:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc / B.V.Sc / B.Tech / B.F.Sc) in Agriculture, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Status: Final-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply.
- Marks: Minimum OGPA or percentage as per official ICAR/NTA guidelines.
Exam Pattern & Structure
Question Format
Objective Multiple Choice Questions (120 MCQs) testing in-depth subject knowledge and cross-matching skills.
Duration & Marking
The total duration is 2 hours (120 mins) with a maximum of 480 Marks (Negative marking applies).
