๐งช About the Team – Protein Biology
The Protein Biology team focuses on large-scale functional validation of antibodies with a strong emphasis on reagent quality and specificity. The goal is high-quality antibody validation and the creation of detailed product information to support global research applications.
Core activities include:
- Data mining and processing
- Western blotting using advanced tools
- High-resolution immunofluorescence imaging
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
- Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP)
- Gene silencing
๐ฏ Role & Responsibilities
๐ฌ Purpose
Contribute to antibody validation workflows by validating antibodies for reproducibility and scientific accuracy using innovative experimental approaches.
๐ Key Responsibilities
- Apply strong knowledge of protein biology for antibody validation and characterization.
- Design meticulous experiments aligned with program goals.
- Maintain detailed documentation in laboratory notebooks and data sheets.
- Conduct literature mining to stay updated on antibody validation developments.
- Compile and present scientific data (written and oral presentations).
- Participate actively in team meetings.
- Maintain strict adherence to timelines and quality standards.
๐ Candidate Requirements
๐ Education & Experience
- Master’s degree with 2–5 years of experience
- OR PhD in Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology
๐ Required Skills
- Experience in cell & molecular biology workflows.
- Protein assay design and development.
- Protein-protein interaction studies (Co-immunoprecipitation).
- Immunoassays including: Western blotting, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry, Flow cytometry, and ELISA.
- Scientific troubleshooting and data communication.
- Basic knowledge of computational biology tools.
- Familiarity with biological databases and programming basics.
