The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has released a recruitment notification through its laboratory, Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), Tezpur, Assam, for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) positions.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 09 Posts

1. Pharmaceutical Sciences (05 Posts)

Qualification: M.Pharm / M.S (Pharm) / M.Tech (Pharm) with specialization in Pharmaceutics / Pharmacology / Toxicology / Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Must have GATE / GPAT / NET.

2. Life Sciences (02 Posts)

Qualification: MSc / M.Tech / MVSc in Zoology / Veterinary Parasitology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences.

Must have NET.

3. Chemistry (01 Post)

Qualification: MSc / M.Tech in Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Chemical Sciences.

Must have NET or GATE.

4. Environmental Science (01 Post)

Qualification: MSc / M.Tech in Environmental Science / Soil Science / Chemistry / Life Sciences.

Must have NET.

Research Associate (RA) 06 Posts

1. Biotechnology / Life Sciences (01 Post)

Qualification: PhD in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences or related fields.

2. Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry (02 Posts)

Qualification: PhD in Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Chemical Sciences / Textile Chemistry / Textile Engineering.

3. Biotechnology / Microbiology (01 Post)

Qualification: PhD in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences.

Desirable: Experience in NGS nucleic acid sequencing and data analysis.

4. Polymer Sciences (01 Post)

Qualification: PhD in Polymer Science / Chemistry / Chemical Sciences.

Desirable: Experience in polymer analysis and instrumentation.

5. Horticulture (01 Post)

Qualification: PhD in Horticulture.

Desirable: Experience in Post-Harvest Technology.

JRF: Max 28 years
RA: Max 35 years

Fellowship / Salary

JRF: ₹37,000 + HRA
RA: ₹67,000 + HRA

Tenure: Initially 2 years (Extendable based on rules)
