Thermo
Fisher Scientific is hiring a Scientist II – Molecular Biology to join its
Research and Development team in Bangalore. The role involves development of
next-generation sequencing technologies, molecular diagnostic assays, and
innovative life science products. The selected candidate will work with advanced
laboratory equipment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support
product development from concept to commercialization.
Eligibility
& Requirements
- Advanced degree (M.Sc / PhD) with
no prior experience OR Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years of
laboratory experience
- Preferred background in Molecular
Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related life sciences
- Strong hands-on experience in
nucleic acid isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, and NGS techniques
- Experience with automated liquid
handling systems and high-throughput workflows
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and ISO
regulatory standards
- Experience working in BSL-2
laboratory environments
- Familiarity with data analysis
tools such as GraphPad or JMP
- Ability to maintain laboratory
documentation and SOPs
- Good communication, organizational,
and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel up to 15% if
required
