Purpose & Authority
Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for:
- Admission to PhD programmes in ICAR-affiliated institutes
- Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
- Award of Senior Research Fellowship (SRF)
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following academic standards:
- Degree: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Marks: Minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by ICAR norms.
- Status: Final-year postgraduate students may also apply and appear for the exam.
