Project Associate – I (Life Sciences) at RGCB, Thiruvananthapuram — Apply Online

Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram invites applications from Indian citizens for the position of Project Associate – I in the ANRF-funded research project titled “Unraveling the Mechanism of Blue Light-Mediated Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress Responses in Plants” under the mentorship of Dr. Moumita Srivastava (Scientist – C). This is a temporary position (Adv. #07/2025). Applications must be submitted online, via the official RGCB portal.

Eligibility & Age Limit

  • Education: First-Class M.Sc. in Life Sciences (e.g., Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry).
  • Age: Below 28 years as of 26 August 2025. Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India norms.

Desirable Skills

  • Hands-on experience in plant tissue culture.
  • Proficiency in Western blot, PCR, and microbial culture techniques.

Emoluments

  • NET-qualified candidates: ₹37,000 per month + 16% HRA.
  • Others: ₹30,000 per month + 16% HRA.
  • Note: Hostel accommodation will not be provided.

Duration & Selection Process

  • Tenure: Initially for one year; extendable based on performance until end of project.
  • Selection:
